We are proud of our 50-year UK manufacturing heritage. With more than 30% of our product set split and cut on-site, individual items are carefully hand finished by our team of skilled machinists.
Hand-in-hand with product innovation is our desire to push process innovation. Having a direct impact on our manufacturing capability, the digitalisation of the industry has changed the way we operate. This includes new skills and workflows within our production facility.
Our recycling program diverts 0.5million sqm of carpet surplus from landfill per year, and the outer transit packaging from the carpet manufacturer is all recycled. Ambitions for the future include less than 2% of our waste going to landfill. This passion for recycling is the inspiration for the creation of our brand, [RE]lay. We work to recover pre-consumer carpet from production over-makes, roll ends and fitters’ off-cuts that would otherwise add to landfill. Currently diverting 0.3 million sqm of carpet surplus per year, we re-purpose it at our Yorkshire manufacturing centre giving these otherwise end-of-life products new value.
